The Pittsburgh region’s largest independent craft fair

HERE'S WHAT WE TACKLED

In response to the COVID-19 crisis, Handmade Arcade launched a virtual marketplace to help regional makers and artists increase their revenue. The organization needed a cohesive digital marketing strategy to drive web traffic and e-commerce sales. In addition, HA wanted to increase the number of overall applicants and strategically attract underserved, underrepresented makers.

OUR APPROACH

Targeted Maker Campaign

Develop a set of vendor-specific value propositions for the marketplace and create eblasts, organic social posts, and a paid social media campaign to raise awareness and drive applicants.

Consumer Campaign

Introduce and explain the benefits of the new virtual marketplace including safe shopping, supporting makers, interactive events, and the value of handcrafted products.

Creative Strategy

Retain annual attendees of the in-person market by focusing heavily on the familiar Handmade Arcade logo alongside a variety of eye-catching and unusual products. Branding carefully mimicked and informed the marketplace to ensure a smooth customer transition from ads to the shopping platform.
